About us

A church family with a story

The King’s Church is an independent Pentecostal church in Mold, a market town in Flintshire, North Wales, a short drive from Chester. We are a lively and growing all-age family of around 60 adults and children, meeting in Capel Pendref, a chapel on Bailey Hill in the heart of the town.

We are a church that functions well, with an active Leadership Team of men and women who serve equally in preaching, pastoral care and ministry. Since our founding we have held to the gifts of the Holy Spirit, the fivefold ministry of Ephesians 4, and a desire to become more like Jesus and share His full gospel of salvation, building and advancing the Kingdom of God together.

THE KING’S CHURCH, MOLD

The role

Leading alongside an active team

We are now looking for a Senior Leader, or a married couple, to lead alongside that team into the next chapter God has for us. The role is open to full time or part time hours, and our current volunteer leaders are ready to walk alongside the right person through a period of handover.

Vision

Lead and develop the vision of the church with the Leadership Team, releasing the fivefold gifts (Ephesians 4:11-13)

Preaching and teaching

Preach and teach, and help shape our Sunday and midweek gatherings

Teams

Support our children’s, youth and pastoral teams

Mission

Lead us outward in mission and outreach to our community

Who we are looking for

A shepherd’s heart

An experienced, Holy Spirit-filled leader, or married couple, with a shepherd’s heart, a track record of preaching and pastoral care, and a teachable spirit. We recognise that no one person will meet every criterion, and we would love to hear where your strengths lie.

Our process

An appointment is a relationship

Step 1

Get in touch for an informal chat, then send us your application.

Step 2

Time together

Shortlisted candidates spend time with us, including leading worship and preaching.

Step 3

Discernment

We seek God together so that the appointment is right for you and for us. The post is permanent, with a six month settling-in period and a mutual review, so together we can shape the role, hours and pay around the right person.
