About Our Christian Church in Mold

Sunday Morning Worship, Teaching and Fellowship

Our Sunday morning service is the heart of the week, and every Sunday brings something fresh.

We begin with worship, led by our talented musicians and singers who guide us into God’s presence through song. Often, we hear personal testimonies—real stories of how God has helped, guided, or spoken to people in powerful ways.

Each week includes a Bible reading and a message, usually shared by our Pastor or an invited speaker. The teaching is grounded in Scripture and made relevant to everyday life.

After the service, everyone is welcome to stay for tea, coffee, biscuits, or cake. It’s a relaxed time to chat, laugh, reflect, and build friendships.

Whether you’re new to faith, visiting the area, or just curious, we’d love to welcome you on Sundays at 10:30am in our historic building on Bailey Hill.

We are proud to be part of the Evangelical Alliance UK.

About Our Building: Capel Pendref

A Brief History

King’s Christian Centre meets in Capel Pendref, a building with deep roots in Mold’s Christian heritage.

The chapel was built in 1828 on land donated by Sir Thomas Mostyn to serve a growing Methodist community. By 1837, the congregation had grown to include six deacons and eighty-three members.

During the 1905 Welsh Revival, the church expanded significantly. Records show nine deacons, 145 members, and 315 ‘grandawyr’ (listeners), with 204 attending Sunday school.

In March 2000, our current congregation purchased the building from the Wesleyan Methodist Movement and renamed it King’s Christian Centre. Today, Capel Pendref continues to serve as the heart of a thriving and welcoming church community.
