Children are very much part of the church family at King’s Christian Centre and are involved and included in the main service each Sunday. After about half-an-hour of all-age worship, children leave for a programme of fun and teaching . We have four groups at present, specifically suited to children aged 2-14.
Our youngest children (up to approximately 4 years of age) have a great time at ‘See and Know’, where they enjoy Bible stories, songs and play, all creatively suited to them. Parents of babies are welcome to join them.
‘Sunbeams’ comes next, for those aged 4-6, then KYC for 7-10 year olds and KEY for 11-14’s.
All groups use Scripture Union LightLive material, as we feel that a cohesive teaching programme for all children is important. We don’t just want to teach children about Jesus, we want them to come to know Him for themselves.
We welcome all children to share with us, whether their parents come to church or not.
Outside of the Sunday service we have ROC Toddlers on a Friday and Monday morning. For more information go to the Parents and Toddlers Page
Also, during the week on a Wednesday evening there is Acts 29. This is aimed at children in years 8 -11 in school. See the Acts 29 page for more details.
If you have any questions about our children,s work, please contact Sue Leake (07900 387907).
We follow a Child Protection Policy, which is available on request to church members. All our youth leaders have also passed an enhanced DBS check and have regular safeguarding training; we take the safety of the children in our care as our number one priority. If you have any concerns about the safety of your, or any other child at Kings then please bring this to the attention of the Lead Safeguarding Officer (Barry Amor 07806483606, barry.amor(@)kings-mold.org.uk) or, in his absence or if the concern is about him, to Sue Leake (07900 387907), sue.leake(@)kings-mold.org.uk).
